FAQs

How should I care for my item?

Since everything is handmade, I always recommend treating it gently. For crochet, knit, and embroidered pieces, hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry—this helps keep the shape and texture just right. Avoid bleach or strong detergents. For home decor, a light spot clean is best unless I’ve noted otherwise in the description.

What material is the piece made of?

I typically use acrylic, or blends for crochet and knitwear, depending on the design and desired texture. Embroidered items and home decor pieces will note the materials used in their product descriptions.

How long does clothing made from yarn last?

With the right care, handmade yarn clothing can last for years—even decades! It really depends on how often you wear it and how you care for it. Gentle washing, avoiding heat and harsh chemicals, and storing it properly (like folding instead of hanging) all help keep it looking fresh and cozy for a long time. These pieces are made to be worn, loved, and passed down if you treat them well!

What If My Item Is Damaged?

All items are carefully inspected before leaving our studio to ensure they meet our quality standards. We take great care to package your crochet and embroidered pieces securely. If your item arrives damaged, please notify us within 2 days of the delivery date. To help us assess the damage, take clear, close-up photos showing the issue. Please note that items that have been cut, torn, or altered after delivery are not eligible for a refund or repair. If the damage is verified, you will need to ship the item back to our business address. Once we receive it, we will repair the piece and return it to you.

Garment Care

Each piece is handmade with time, care, and intention. To help your item last and look its best, here are some tips for taking care of it:

  • Hand wash in cold water to protect the fibers, shape, and color.

  • Lay flat to dry—no dryers! Hanging can stretch the piece over time.

  • Use gentle detergent (no bleach or harsh chemicals). A mild soap made for delicates is best.

  • Fold to store instead of hanging, especially with heavier yarns, to keep the shape intact.

  • Spot clean home décor or embroidered pieces unless otherwise noted in the listing.

Important: If you notice any yarn ends showing over time, don’t cut them! These ends were originally woven between stitches to lock everything in place. Cutting them could cause unraveling. Instead, you can gently use a yarn or tapestry needle to tuck the loose end back into the inside of the garment—it’ll stay secure and hidden.
